The player could start as good or evil based on their choices in the city the game takes place in and takes territory over for their side. Good Cole could want to help the Conduit use their power to save everyone. There could be a Conduit the two sides are fighting over that can cure the plague, and since Evil Cole just wants humanity to burn he could want to kill this person. They need Good Cole to lead them and defeat Evil Cole. Bascially there is a rebel force of Conduits who oppose Evil Cole's ideas and are fighting for the sake of humanity. They take him and Zeke to their dimension where Evil Cole is rampaging through the world. The lightning bolt could have been them reviving him. What if that lightning bolt is from conduits from an alternate dimension who used a time travel power to take the good Cole back. Spoonerismz: I had the same idea for the alternate dimension thing. Maybe they can even go to a new city and build a device that can allow cole to travel thrrough dimensions, with changes to the environment, like a ravaged poor city or a more refined classy one. For example, i can imagine cole's brother appearing right in fron of nix, kuo, cole and zeke right before you make the decision to either save humainity or destroy it.
ThatDangRyan: How about in an alternate dimension cole's brother (yes he has a brother) becomes a conduit also and was somehow involved with kessler (future cole) in planning what might happen after kessler dies.
